Valda Energy join an Oxfordshire-based apprenticeship fair

On Thursday 14 March, Valda Energy took part in a fair hosted by the Marlborough C of E School with over 40 exhibitors showcasing alternative career routes to university.

The event was attended by around 300 students and parents, including year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students from across Oxfordshire.

At the Valda Energy stand, Collections Advisor Apprentice Kirsty Cherry, Customer Service Team Leader Mark Fullerton and Learning and Development Manager Tom East gathered to engage in conversations about life at Valda Energy, explore upcoming opportunities, and delve into career development prospects.

Tom East said:

“What a fantastic event, witnessing the enthusiasm of students and their career aspirations. It was encouraging to see that apprenticeships are becoming more and more prominent, offering students a way to earn while they learn the necessary skills to fulfil their career aspirations. It's also great to see that apprenticeships are now considered an alternative pathway to some jobs.

“Apprenticeships not only benefit the students but also the businesses that offer them, attracting talented individuals to build careers and create opportunities for the future.

“At Valda Energy, we feel very privileged to be able to offer these opportunities to help shape and build the future of apprenticeships.”

Another great time at Marlborough School

We want to thank the Marlborough C of E school for their kind invitation to Valda Energy to take part in the apprenticeship fair and their hospitality during the event. We look forward to future apprenticeship events.
