If you are in credit with your old supplier, they should refund you once you have received your final bill which can take around 6 weeks. Don’t forget to send them a final meter reading to ensure you only get charged for what you use.
If you are in debt with your old supplier, you will need to clear the payment as soon as possible, or it may cause delays to your transfer.
